  1. Awesome video. Loved the technology dropping from the sky. You really captured a sense of whimsy to alleviate fears in implementing and integrating mobile technology.
    Thanks for sharing,

  2. Hi Kellie, Very strong arguments for using mobile devices. I too think that education needs to catch up with technology and that parents would rather have their children involved in instructional technology than some of the video games that are teaching very little. Great job. Deb :)

  3. Great video Kellie. We are currently exploring mobile technology in our course development. It's a difficult concept to implement while still ensuring equitable;e access for everyone- some people just don't want to jump on board! Good job!

  5. Kellie-I especially liked the use of black and white to color. It caught my eye and made me associate previous eras in learning compared to current and future methods. Nice touch and good job. I definitely think that mobile technology is where it's at. -Brandy

  6. Thank you everyone. I would like to see at least one classroom set of ipads purchased for my building next year. The librarian in my bulding is pushing for the same thing and carefully checking the budget.

  7. Kellie,
Good presentation of the mobile technology concept. I wish the sound was a little better (I suppose you do too) but I heard everything OK. The visuals you used were creative, especailly the phase shifting of the students in the classroom. The final sequence of the "boring" chalkboard presentation changing to one including mobile technology was reminiscent of the Wizard of Oz with the change of black and white to color.

  8. Stephen the sound about drove me crazy. I tried with just the mic from the computer and then did used a plugged in one. The sound was little better, but still not great.
I wanted to show going from what we've known and done for the last several decades in education to moving forward.

  9. Kellie,
I enjoyed your video, the final scene with the teacher at the board and the students being bored, and then technology tools’ raining down on them was quite memorable.
Using IPods/IPads to do a literature unit is a fabulous idea. I like how you spoke about the technologies that the students are able to use at school but not at home as well as what they can use in both locations.
The volume was a little up and down, I had that problem also, otherwise, Great job!

  10. Kelly:

Many of our students use mobile technology, yet there is so little integration of then in the classroom. Your video highlighted some key points and set me thinking of ways I can integrate them into my classroom and encourage teachers, whom I teach, do the same. I especially like the end of the video with a clip on students ready to use mobile technology (the catching of these devices).
